International undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for the Deakin Vice-International Chancellor's Scholarship 2022-2023. This scholarship will pay for your entire tuition or 50% of your tuition.

Deakin University honours students who consistently achieve high academic standards and have the ability to make significant contributions to the university and its communities. Students who complete the program will be expected to enroll in the Vice-Professional Chancellor's Excellence Program. Unsuccessful Deakin Vice-International Chancellor's Scholarship applicants will be automatically assessed for the Deakin International Scholarship.

Coverage for Scholarships

The Deakin Vice-International Chancellor's Scholarship will pay the following expenses:

  • All of your tuition fees, or half of your tuition fees
  • Program for Professional Excellence of the Vice-Chancellor (VCPEP). As part of the DVCIS scholarship, students will be expected to engage in this program.
  • Priority placement for on-campus housing (at own cost and subject to availability).

Criteria for the Deakin Vice-International Chancellor's Scholarship

To be eligible for the Deakin Vice-International Chancellor's Scholarship, candidates must meet all of the requirements listed below:

  • English is the required language.
  • All countries in the world are eligible.
  • Be a prospective overseas student at Deakin University for a coursework degree.
  • To study at Deakin University, you must be eligible.
  • Previous investigations yielded an 85 percent average (or comparable).

It should be noted that the selection of successful applicants for the limited number of scholarships will be tough, and scores beyond the given minimum standards may be required.

To apply for the Deakin Vice-International Chancellor's Scholarship, please follow the steps below:

1. You must submit the following:

  • A completed application form for the Deakin International Scholarship Program (PDF, 536KB)
  • An individual statement (300 words)
  • No fewer than two individuals who are familiar with your community involvement and/or leadership abilities
  • A completed Deakin University application, including academic transcripts.

2. Please email your completed application form to Deakin International Admissions.

3. You may be requested to attend an interview as well.
Notes:

1. You must write your own statement and it must reflect your personal opinions. It should include:

  • A summary of the reasons you want to go to Deakin University.
  • An outline of your extracurricular activities and employment experience (paid or unpaid).
  • Why do you believe you would be an excellent Deakin University ambassador?
  • Your application will benefit from additional information.

3. Successful applicants will be contacted by Deakin International within six weeks of their application.

4. Because there are limits placed on the number of people who can receive overseas scholarships, prospective recipients are urged to submit their applications as early as possible. It is advised that students apply for scholarships at least one month before beginning their studies at Deakin.
